Keilany Lightsey

Biography

Keilany Lightsey is a Ph.D. student in Bioengineering in the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Notre Dame with a GEM Fellowship and Dean's Fellowship. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX as well as a Master of Science in Engineering in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. She also has a professional background in pharmaceuticals as well as cell- and gene-based therapies. Her research focuses on the use of oscillatory flow on stem-cell derived lymphatic tissue engineering as well as its novel potential to treat/study cancer and other autoimmune diseases.
