Biography

Nicholas (Nick) is a Bioengineering PhD student in the Electrical Engineering department. He is currently developing a frequency domain functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) device to noninvasively monitor functional activity in the brain. He is interested in translational research where he wants to move technology from benchtop to bedside. Once he graduates, he hopes to secure a job in industry where he develops brain computer interface technology that aims to restore limb functionality to those living with paralysis.
