Biography
Lara earned her Bachelor of Engineering in Bioengineering from Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) in Turkey and is now pursuing her Ph.D. in Bioengineering at the University of Notre Dame. Her undergraduate research focused on the utilization of 3D bioprinting to construct neural tumor models. She joined Dr. Zorlutuna's Lab in 2022 and her research interests are mainly in cardiac tissue engineering.
