Biography
Jessie is a current Bioengineering PhD student at the University of Notre Dame. In 2022, she earned her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. She also worked as a research technician at Mass General Hospital and Harvard University in the Center for Engineering in Medicine and Surgery where she investigated cell death mechanisms occurring in endothelial cells undergoing cold storage and supercooling as well as mitochondrial transplantation into human monocytes for immune modulation. She hopes to utilize engineered biomaterials to model and understand the mechanical tissue environment.
