Biography

Frank earned his bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2021. There, he worked on introducing tissue-resident macrophages into microphysiologic tissue models of the lower lung. He joined the Zorlutuna lab in 2022. At Notre Dame, he is working to leverage interactions between macrophages and myocytes in the heart to generate more mature cells from iPSC sources and discover new therapies for heart attack-induced damage.
