Biography
Alura is a Bioengineering graduate student advised by Dr. Meenal Datta in the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department. Her research interest is the tumor microenvironment and how it contributes to the progression of cancer and treatment resistance. She attended the University of Notre Dame for her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Bioengineering, where she worked with Dr. Mary Ann McDowell and Dr. Ryan K. Roeder to develop and optimize a nanoparticle drug delivery system against the parasitic disease leishmaniasis.
